Dr. Bishoy Hanna is a Cardiac Electrophysiologist who specializes in the care of patients with heart rhythm disorders. He is board certified in cardiac electrophysiology, cardiology, cardiac computed tomography, echocardiography and internal medicine. Dr. Hanna was trained by pioneers of cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Washington, a program renowned for pivotal advancements in the field. He is well-published and has presented his cutting-edge research at HRS, HRX, ACC, ECC and SCAI, among other venues.
Dr. Hanna’s specialties include the management of patients with complex atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardias, and ventricular tachycardia. Dr. Hanna also specializes in the management of arrhythmic disorders in patients with adult congenital heart disease and the management of inherited and acquired arrhythmic disorders and cardiomyopathies, including Long QT Syndrome, Brugada Syndrome, Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia, Arrhythmogenic Cardiomyopathy, Cardiac Sarcoidosis, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and other acquired or inherited cardiac disorders. In addition to complex ablative procedures, Dr. Hanna performs specialized pacemaker and defibrillator implantation procedures, including the implantation of leadless pacemakers and conduction system pacing. Dr. Hanna also performs mechanical and laser lead extractions and is a certified implanter of the Watchman device, which can be used in select patients with atrial fibrillation to avoid long-term use of oral anticoagulation.
